Robert grew up through the 80s and 90s between Devon and Kent with a long-held desire to become a veterinary surgeon.
He started at Bristol Vet School in 1999, graduating in 2005 after intercalating in Zoology 2 years before. Following a couple of years in general practice in Buckinghamshire, he worked at a series of charity, first opinion and referral hospitals around Bristol and Bath, with a focus on emergency work, before coming to Vale in 2017. In 2022 he completed the BSAVA certificate in Emergency and Critical Care.
He has kept various animals in the past and currently is kept busy with a Collie Cross called Ralph, a black and white rescue cat called Koshka and 8-year-old twin daughters. Outside family and work, music and running are his main hobbies.
